ULTRASOUND THERAPY

An Ultrasound Therapy is the usage of sound waves to treat musculoskeletal problems such as injury inflammation from sprains, tendinitis and bursitis. Sound waves create deep heat therapy that is applied to our body’s soft tissues and joints – it can be seen as a form of micro-massaging that not only helps provide lower back pain relief, reduce stiffness and spasms, but also helps increase blood circulation and accelerate the healing process.

Therapeutic ultrasound therapy is often used to reduce pain through decreasing inflammation while increasing blood circulation and mobility of the soft tissues i.e. our muscles. Conditions that can benefit from an Ultrasound Therapy include shoulder sprains and strains, rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, hip pain, runner’s knee, ankle sprain, Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis.
